Overview

Although coaching has long been recognized as a powerful tool for facilitating employee learning and performance, it has typically been made available to only senior leaders and select high potential talent. In an effort to scale coaching beyond these traditional populations, both American Express and Prudential have been experimenting with new and innovative approaches aimed at providing coaching and feedback to the broader employee base. These approaches, which include leveraging artificial intelligence, working with external coaching platforms, developing coaching circles, and building coaching into broad-based leadership programs, are designed to not only facilitate employee development but also develop a deeper bench of employees who can coach others. In this CAHRS Company Showcase, Matt Dreyer, Head of Talent Management at Prudential, and Dianne Campbell, Vice President of Global Career Growth and Performance at American Express, will share how their companies are scaling coaching along with some evidence on the effectiveness of these initiatives. Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions for the presenters throughout the session.
