Executive Master of Human Resource Management (EMHRM) Program

We are thrilled to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Cornell University’s Executive Master of Human Resource Management (EMHRM) program! Over the past decade, the EMHRM program has empowered HR professionals to deepen their expertise, expand their leadership capabilities, and elevate their impact within their organizations. With a primarily online format complemented by three engaging residential sessions in July, March, and July, the program offers a flexible learning experience designed for working professionals. Students in the program can begin making a real-time impact through the capstone work, which spans the program and provides each student with advising from both a Cornell faculty advisor and an executive advisor.

Upon reflecting on their experience in the program, Gopalkrishna Vennelakanti found immediate value in the program’s focus on real-time application: “My EMHRM capstone project delivered 20% of my key performance indicator (KPI) at my job, and part of my current job responsibilities came to me because of the project that I chose. On Monday morning, I could literally deploy a lot of what I learned and then course-correct after learning more in the next online course.”

Bethany Solow, EMHRM alum, also emphasized the professional value gained from the EMHRM program: "The program brought a confidence that I think I’ve been searching for and didn’t know I was missing. The consultant role that I’m now able to play by asking really great questions and really ‘pressure checking’ our leadership team has resulted in tangible impacts for our company in a really positive way.”
