Overview

New York is making progress towards its ambitious goal of generating 70% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030, but we're not moving fast enough. While the state has successfully expanded distributed solar, this alone won't be sufficient to meet our renewable energy targets or create the good union jobs New Yorkers deserve. With federal support for offshore wind uncertain, it’s more urgent than ever to galvanize public support and investment in utility-scale clean energy projects that can fill the gap.

This webinar will feature a presentation of key findings from our forthcoming report “New York’s Renewable Energy Policies, Plans & Progress: A Climate Jobs Perspective,” which examines existing and planned renewable energy projects across New York State, evaluates their effectiveness in advancing the state’s clean energy goals, and explores the potential for generating high-quality clean energy jobs.

Join us for a timely discussion with state legislators, labor leaders, and environmental advocates on how New York can deepen its leadership to reach our climate goals and build an equitable clean energy economy that benefits workers and communities alike.
