The ILR Global Scholars Program (GSP) recognizes students who integrate a global perspective into their ILR education. It's an academic distinction noted on students' transcripts and celebrated at the McPherson Awards Ceremony. Fewer than 5% of graduating seniors typically earn this honor. To become an ILR Global Scholar, students must complete 5 core components:
- Significant credit-bearing international experience while at ILR
- Foreign language study at the 2000 level at Cornell
- Five ILRIC/GL approved courses. Two courses can be from abroad, courses must be graded and 3+ credits; can combine IC/GL 1, 1.5 or 2-credit courses to equal 3 or 4 credits to meet a course requirement
- Complete the Global Scholars Capstone ILRIC 4940 the spring semester your senior year
- GPA of 3.6 or higher
