ILR High Road New York City Fellowship Program

SUMMER 2025

The ILR High Road New York Fellowship Program offers a breadth of community engagement opportunities through ILR’s extension offices in Buffalo, New York City and Ithaca that aim to teach students practical methods for civic engagement, engaged leadership, evidence-based policy, and strategic development. The applied nature and practical relevance of the programs prepare students to be thoughtful, engaged citizens and leaders in public service, business, and community activism. The ILR High Road New York (Ithaca & New York City) initiative is an expansion of the ILR School’s long-standing High Road Buffalo Fellowship Program. The program aims to immerse ILR students in meaningful community engaged experiences and exposure to engaged leadership.

In its third year, the Summer 2025 High Road New York City Fellowship Program will run from June 2nd to August 1st, 2025. Students intern in person with various NYC partner organizations and will participate in weekly cohort workshops focused on critical reflection and peer-to-peer collaboration and networking and learning opportunities with guest speakers will be offered at ILR's NYC office on Lexington Avenue. All interns will be paid and need-based subsidized housing will be available. Students must be returning students in the Fall 2025 semester to be eligible. Students may apply for more than one opportunity. Check out each opportunity for summer 2025 for more details and application links below.
