Career Experience
EMHRM is open to Human Resource practitioners with 8 or more years of direct HR experience. Our cohorts bring together people from across the HR field, creating a supportive and engaging learning community. Through a mix of online coursework and in-person sessions, you'll connect deeply with your peers, grow as a strategic leader, and work toward creating immediate impact at your company through the Capstone Project.
International Students
EMHRM welcomes applicants from all over the world. However, individuals who would require immigration status and sponsorship to enter the U.S. for educational purposes are not eligible for this hybrid degree. Please note that no student status visas or student immigration documentation can be issued at this time. I-20s are not available for this program.

Seats are limited. To maximize the chance of admission, we strongly recommend submitting your application in Round 1 or Round 2.
The program starts mid-May each year.

Application Materials
To be eligible for admission review, applicants must submit a completed application, including all materials below.
Unofficial Transcripts: Upload from all attended institutions. Official transcripts are only needed if offered admission.
Current Resume: Highlight recent work experience, skills, achievements, and relevant details.
Letters of Recommendation (2): One from a direct supervisor supporting your enrollment and project access. Letters must be uploaded within 5 days of the posted deadline.
Academic Statement of Purpose: 1-2 pages outlining academic interests, background, and goals.
Statement of Project: 1-2 pages detailing an HR project proposal addressing a strategic business challenge or opportunity. Students in the program are required to develop and implement an HR project within their organization. The project must focus on HR actions designed to address an identified, strategic business challenge or opportunity. Examples might include growth, globalization, innovation, competitive pressures, total quality, tapping new markets. The business challenge/opportunity should have implications for the workforce and for HR processes/practices for which you can develop an intervention. The statement of project is an opportunity for you to describe the project you might implement.
Personal Statement: 1-2 pages reflecting on your personal background and experiences that led you to pursue this degree. The personal statement allows you to provide the admissions committee with a sense of who you are as a whole person, and you should use it to describe how your personal background and experiences influenced your decision to pursue a graduate degree.
Video Interview: Instructions provided after application submission. Video interviews must be submitted within 7 days after submitting your application.
Language Proficiency: Submit IELTS/TOEFL scores, meet a standing exemption, or apply for a special exemption if needed. Minimum scores are determined by Cornell University and outlined here.
GRE/GMAT: Not required or accepted.
Costs & Aid
Application Fee
$105 due upon application submission.
Admission Deposit
$750 due upon acceptance of admission offer which will be credited toward first tuition payment upon matriculation.
Tuition
2025-2026 EMHRM tuition will be $68,380, paid in four installments.
- Summer 2025: $6,838 (minus admission deposit credit, if applicable)
- Fall 2025: $20,514
- Spring 2026: $20,514
- Summer 2026: $20,514
Installments for EMHRM are calculated at 10% of the program rate for the first Summer, then Fall, Spring, and the second Summer at 30% each. In the event this ends up not being an even dollar amount, the excess cents are added to the first Summer installment.
Student Health Insurance

Residential Sessions
Travel, lodging, food, etc. costs for your three on-campus sessions are at your expense and may range depending on many factors.
