Ketchel Carey

Ketchel Carey is a social inequality researcher who graduated with her Bachelor's in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2023. She served as an Undergraduate Research Fellow and then as a Research Assistant on the We Rise evaluation research team, conducting statistical analysis and playing an integral role in the qualitative research process as well. She previously worked as a research assistant for Dr. Kate Bronfenbrenner studying NLRB organizing. While her background is in research on worker organizing, she is more broadly interested in research about how individuals can be empowered to improve their own lives. She currently works on education research at Appalachian State University in her hometown of Boone, NC.
