Christa Sarrack
President, UNITE HERE! Local 17
Christa Sarrack is the President of UNITE HERE! Local 17, Minnesota’s hospitality union. Christa started with Local 17 in 2010 as an Organizer and was elected President of the local in 2017. Since then, Christa has worked to grow the labor movement in Minnesota and is focused on workplace safety and worker diversity and inclusion. Christa was recognized by the Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal as one of the top 10 people to watch in 2021 for her efforts to expand in unorganized markets and her fight to make a change in the hospitality industry. Christa is inspired daily by her husband and her two teenage children. In her limited amount of free time Christa likes to spend time with her family on the lake.
