Cecilia Oyediran
As Deputy Director of ILR’s Labor and Employment Law Program, Cecilia Oyediran designs curriculum and provides instruction on workplace law to employers and workers, including social equity participants in NY’s cannabis industry and justice-involved individuals. In her previous position, Cecilia provided legal guidance and support to clients in the legal cannabis industry, specializing in matters related to licensing, regulatory compliance, and other related issues. Cecilia further expanded her legal expertise by gaining valuable in-house experience as Corporate Counsel at a publicly traded multistate company. In this role, she leveraged her legal acumen to provide comprehensive counsel and support to the company in the areas of commercial transactions, labor/employment, compliance, and real estate, navigating the complex legal landscape of the cannabis industry and ensuring compliance with regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Cecilia serves as Chair of the Cannabis Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and is a frequent speaker and panelist on a range of issues related to state cannabis legalization, social equity, and corporate law. She also volunteers her time to mentor students and young professionals.
Cecilia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, a Master’s in Education from Harvard University, and a law degree from Stanford Law School.
