Gaylynn Burroughs

Director of Workplace Equality, National Women's Law Center

Gaylynn Burroughs is Director of Workplace Equality and Senior Counsel for the National Women’s Law Center where she leads policy development and advocacy addressing workplace harassment and discrimination. Prior to joining the Center, Gaylynn was Senior Counsel at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights where she led the Employment Task Force and worked on a range of issues as part of the economic security team. Gaylynn has also served as Policy Director for the Feminist Majority and Feminist Majority Foundation, a clinical visiting professor at Fordham University School of Law, and staff attorney at the Bronx Defenders in the Family Defense Practice. Gaylynn began her career as a law clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz and then to the Honorable Helen E. Hoens, both of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She received her J.D. and LL.M. from the New York University School of Law and B.A. from Yale University.
